DustFox 1.1.0: a goal plan and a report card

A new home screen, a goal plan that frees the space you ask for, a shareable Gallery Report Card, background video shrinking on iOS 26 and more honest estimates.

DustFox 1.1.0 is the biggest update since the first release. It adds a goal plan that frees exactly the space you ask for, a Gallery Report Card you can share, a new home screen that tells you where to start, and background video shrinking on iOS 26.

A home screen that starts with the biggest wins

The storage card shows how much room is left and how much of it photos and videos take. Right below it sit the three methods that usually free the most: Duplicate Photos, Live Photos and Shrink Videos. The other seven follow, with the goal plan and your report card between them.

Tell it how much space you need

Say “I need 5 GB” and DustFox builds the plan with the least regret: byte-identical copies and burst extras first, then old screenshots, lossless conversions last. Every step is listed with its size and can be switched off. Conversions run first, then iOS asks once to confirm all deletions.

Your first scan gives your gallery one of seven titles, from Screenshot Collector to Spotless Fox, and a card to share. It holds numbers only, never a photo. Sent to You adds a Group Bill for everything your chats sent you, and new card themes unlock as you free space. See all titles and themes.

Shrink Videos keeps going in the background

On iOS 26 the compression queue keeps running when you leave the app, with progress and a Stop control on the Lock Screen. iCloud videos download while the ones on the device are encoding.

More honest numbers

DustFox now reads each video’s codec and skips videos that are already efficient, so the estimate on the card is one you can actually get. Totals no longer count a photo twice when it appears in two methods. After you empty Recently Deleted, DustFox measures free space again and confirms that it came back.

Pro, once or yearly

Pro now comes two ways, and both unlock exactly the same thing. Pro Lifetime is a one-time purchase ($19.99 on the US App Store) that never renews. Pro Yearly ($9.99 a year) is for anyone who would rather not pay the full price up front; it can be cancelled anytime in Settings. There is still no weekly plan and no trial that turns into a charge, and anyone who already bought Pro keeps it. See pricing.

Smaller changes

  • Duplicate Photos no longer preselects favorites or photos iOS won’t let you delete.
  • Drag across thumbnails to select many at once, as in Photos.
  • Sent to You was reworked, with filters by app and month.
  • A Home Screen and Lock Screen widget, and an optional weekly digest that is scheduled on the device.
  • Simpler screens, with details under “How does it work?”.

The full list is in the release notes.
