Your library is full of frames you never needed.
DustFox finds the redundant ones and gives the space back — and where it can, it frees space without deleting anything at all.
Nothing leaves your device
Two ways to get space back
Most cleaners only know how to delete. Half of what DustFox does costs you nothing — the photo stays, the file gets smaller.
Keep the photo, drop the weight
- Shrink Videos — your iPhone encodes in real time while recording, so it deliberately uses a high bitrate. DustFox re-encodes the same frames with HEVC, unhurried. Resolution and smoothness stay; the file shrinks.
- Compressible Photos — the same frame in less space, at a quality difference you cannot see.
- Live Photos — drops the motion, keeps the frame.
Find what is safe to delete
- Duplicate Photos — groups identical and near-identical frames with DCT fingerprints. Which one survives is decided by a jury of measures: sharpness, exposure, resolution, file size. You can inspect how the vote went.
- Blurry Shots — out of focus or shaken.
- Large Videos and Photos — the biggest space eaters first.
- Screenshots and Sent to You — the piles nobody curates.
Ten methods, ordered by payoff
The home screen puts the ones that free the most space on top, so you always know where to start.
Duplicate Photos
Identical and near-identical frames, grouped and judged measure by measure.
Blurry Shots
Out of focus or shaken — the ones you would never print.
Shrink Videos
HEVC re-encode. Same resolution, same smoothness, smaller file.
Compressible Photos
Heavier than they need to be. Recompressed with no visible loss.
Live Photos
Keeps the still, drops the three seconds of motion around it.
Screenshots
The screen captures that pile up and are never looked at twice.
Sent to You
WhatsApp media and downloaded files, separated from your own photos.
Large Videos
The biggest space eaters, largest first.
Large Photos
RAW files and panoramas that quietly eat gigabytes.
Swipe to Clean
Left to delete, right to keep. A frame you keep is never shown again.
Nothing leaves your device
Every scan, comparison and compression runs on your iPhone or iPad. Your photos never reach a server, you are never asked for an account, and scanning works with the network off. There are no analytics and no advertising or tracking SDKs. The internet is used for exactly one thing: buying and restoring Pro, which Apple handles.
Deleting is never a surprise
Everything DustFox deletes goes to the Recently Deleted album in Apple Photos and waits there for 30 days. The app says so on screen, and it also says the part most cleaners hide: device space is only reclaimed once you empty that album.
If you use iCloud Photos, frames that live in the cloud take up no device space. By default DustFox only lists frames whose original is on the device — the only group that truly frees space when deleted.
